I just saw an interview on CNN with Roberto Saviano, author of a book called Gomorrah about the Naples Mafia.

The book has sold over 1 million copies worldwide and has now been made into a film, just shown at Cannes.

Roberto himself is getting a lot of coverage including the Independent and Guardian in the UK and New York Times, and comes across very well but there is some attention he is getting that I am sure he would rather avoid.

He now finds himself on the wrong end of a death threat from the Mob.

He would have known that beyond a certain popularity, his book would end up getting him in this sort of trouble so it would have been very easy not to have gone ahead.

I am waiting for my copy of the book from Amazon but Roberto is a very brave man and his kind of courage is very much needed in Napoli at the moment.
